Here's why Brighton is the ultimate holiday destination for families in 2019!
The first school holiday of the year is fast approaching which means it’s the perfect time to start planning your next family trip! Whether you fancy a quiet getaway this February to recover from the Christmas antics or are planning a more active summer break, Best of Brighton has you covered. Our self-catering accommodation offers something for everyone, all year round!
And as if you needed any more inspiration to book… here are our favourite things to do in Brighton during the holidays:
February Half Term
If your goal was to be more active this year, then why not take the family on a quick trip to to Brighton Marina. It offers plenty of choice to suit everyone’s preference, from an afternoon trampolining to an evening spent ten pin bowling, hollywood style! We especially recommend their quirky glow in the dark crazy golf! Globalls crazy golf is an experience like no other. Play your way through a tropical jungle, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the glowing dinosaurs! And when you’ve finished try one of their restaurants or discover the shops.
Alternatively, if you’re in need of a more relaxing start to the year, why not pop down to the Theatre Royal for some light entertainment? They’re putting on Elmer the Patchwork Elephant this half term. The puppet show is not only suitable for all ages and has a great story line, but it also offers the guarantee for plenty of laughs.
Get to know Sussex countryside better this Easter – pull on some wellies and explore the great outdoors with the National Trust. Follow their book trails in the garden at Bateman’s or hunt around Bodiam Castle. Simply download the treasure hunt map, and try to find clues as you explore the city.
May Half Term
If you’re after some true seaside fun, definitely visit Brighton Pier. It promises a great day packed with arcade games, ice cream and seashell searching on the shore. While you’re at the beach you’ll also have to pop into the Royal Pavilion which is a magnificent Regency period palace providing heaps of activities inside ideal for new learners.
Be sure to check out Brighton’s outdoor cinema this summer - it’s the ultimate family entertainment! Located to the east of Brighton Pier, the seafront screen is the largest outdoor cinema in the UK. After spending a relaxing afternoon at the coast, continue it into the evening by watching a movie or show at Brighton’s Big Screen. They offer lots of family themed movies, sports events and even a Harry Potter marathon – whatever your taste, they have you covered!
October Half Term
This October half term take a trip to the quaint town of Lewes as the children will love exploring the castle. Or visit the town on it’s most popular event of the year, bonfire night for the true experience!
We hope to see you in Brighton very soon!
